LAW ENFORCEMENT
Fernando Figueroa is a commissioned police officer currently assigned to the Special Operations Division of the Dominican National Police. With extensive experience in tactical training and intelligence, he has played a pivotal role in developing and implementing advanced training programs focused on close-quarters combat. His training initiatives have benefited over 600 SWAT team members, the elite Motorcycle Unit (Lynx), and Riot Control forces.

Figueroa was instrumental in the creation and implementation of the Grey Berets, a specialized tactical unit within the Dominican National Police. Comprising 100 highly trained officers, this unit was established in response to rising crime rates and serves as a rapid-response force, providing critical support to SWAT operations.

Before his current assignment, Figueroa served as a Municipal Police Captain in La Romana, one of the Dominican Republic’s largest and most dynamic cities, known for its tourism and cultural significance. Prior to that, he held the rank of Municipal Police Lieutenant in San Pedro de Macorís.

Academically, Figueroa is pursuing a degree in Intelligence Studies at American Military University, specializing in Intelligence Collection and Counterintelligence. He has also completed multiple advanced courses from internationally recognized institutions, including:

Figueroa is an active instructor for the Dominican Naval Intelligence Division (M-2) and has served for four years as an officer and instructor for the Bureau of National Intelligence (DNI). In this capacity, he has delivered specialized lectures on anti-terrorism intelligence and organized crime, equipping law enforcement agencies with the knowledge and strategies necessary to combat transnational threats. The DNI is the primary investigative body in the Dominican Republic, responsible for addressing major crimes, including drug trafficking, money laundering, human trafficking, and organized crime.

With a strong background in intelligence operations, Figueroa has trained multiple agencies in operational techniques, intelligence collection, surveillance, and undercover operations related to human trafficking. His expertise has been sought after by various law enforcement bodies, including 40 HSI (Homeland Security Investigations) Special Agents, providing them with advanced methodologies to combat international crime networks effectively.
